From Arizona to Texas, the Boeing NewGen Tanker will do what its European competitor cannot – put approximately 50,000 Americans to work in more than 40 states. Boeing’s tanker will be built with a low-risk manufacturing approach that relies on existing, efficient facilities as well as more than 800 suppliers throughout the United States, with decades of experience delivering dependable military aircraft. EADS/Airbus says it’ll build its illegally-subsidized tanker in a yet-to-be-built factory in Alabama, but it’s clear most of the work will be done in France and other locations throughout Europe.
